"How could you do this... brother?"

LOKI! I adore you. :) This is a scene from one of the Norse Myths. It's when Loki tries to trick the dwarves and they want his head. The gods wont let Loki die but they let the dwarves sow his mouth. What kills me is the fact that Loki tried to run, and if I remember correctly he actually got away but then Thor came after him. Thor held him down as the dwarves sowed his mouth shut. This scene in particular is when Loki (in my head she/ he does this) is looking at Thor with betrayal in his/ her eyes, accusing his/ her brother of doing this to her. In the original, she had tears running down her face, but I did it so lightly it didnt show. Plus, you were hard pressed to see it on the original anyway. ;P

I love this picture. I'm so proud of it. i love Loki, she's so much fun to draw and her hair is always a pleasure. it physically hurt to put the stitches over her mouth. Also, I made her much more plain looking than before because I wanted it to look like she had just suffered through this, and even though she's not crying that much or showing much pain, she cant bring herself to make herself that presentable. She cant bring herself to care, to look in the mirror.

I love her.

Ouchhh those stitches look very painful I really like them in combination with her expression, because she really does seem to be furious and in pain.
I really like the shading and colors in her face. The deep red blush around her green eyes is a lovely contrast and I like how warm her skin is. Especially the touches of red and pink in her shoulders and collar bone. I think that there is a little bit of a difference between the shading and coloring in the face compared to the hair and the headdress. I like the integration of blue into the hair, it's a nice touch, and I like the white highlights. But I think that there needs to be darker on the underside of her hair. The bangs and and fringe are highlighted very well, but the underside is also highlighted, which seems off. This should be the darkest part, and it could probable be pitch-black. Also, for the headdress seems like it it is made of gold with a gem, but it doesn't seem like it's shining and sparkling as I would picture. I can't really give good advice on this matter, but I think there should be brighter streaks to give a metallic feel.
I feel like this looks a little incomplete. I like how the hair flows out, but it seems like it is quickly cut off after her collar bone. Even having the skin fade off and gradually become lighter might be a better transition.
One last note, the nose looks a little off to me. The nostril and bottom look fine, but the curve leading up to that doesn't seem right. Noses are sort of weird to draw, especially from this point of view, because they are mostly built up by shadows around them.
I really like this piece overall!
